This is very important information!!
Student athletes will not be allowed to tryout if they do not have a valid physical exam. The volleyball staff does not have copies of your physicals from a year ago. All physicals were turned into the athletic trainer Miss Bell. We will only have physicals that have been given to us since Open Gyms started this year. Here is the translation: NO VALID PHYSICAL=NO TRYOUTS . We will not be held liable if you do not fulfill your obligation. Get it done!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!
Men's soccer tryouts will be held August 3-5 at the school.
6-7 PM Freshman/Sophomores (except returning Varsity). Check in will be at 5:30 PM.
7-8 PM Juniors/Seniors and returning Varsity. Check in will be at 6:30 for this group.
All players should bring water, ball, cleats, running shoes, and shin guards every day. Players should attend every day of tryouts. Tryouts will be on the practice field due to maintenance in the stadium.
The Riverside Track & Field team is unable to practice or compete in the High Jump or the Pole Vault events due to a lack of equipment. The original equipment from when the school was new in 1991 is no longer safe to use after 20+ years of weather, wear, & tear. Buying new equipment at $15,000+ is out of our reach budget-wise.
Coach Brown would also love to have help locating some used - but still usable - equipment. If you have contacts at Duke, UNC, NC Central, or anywhere else that may have extra High Jump or Pole Vault pads gathering dust somewhere, please let Coach Brown know - firstname.lastname@example.org.
