The Riverside High School Athletic Booster Club is committed to providing student-athletes at Riverside High School the very best facilities, equipment, protection and opportunities. We raise funds for uniforms, training equipment and team support.
The RHS swim season is off to a great start. Both boys and girls won against both Cedar Ridge and Northern High Schools! All of the RHS relays made consideration for Regionals, as well as many individual swimmers. Sophie McNeill and Josh Rigsbee already made automatic times for some of their events! Check out the results!
The Riverside Track & Field team is unable to practice or compete in the High Jump or the Pole Vault events due to a lack of equipment. The original equipment from when the school was new in 1991 is no longer safe to use after 20+ years of weather, wear, & tear. Buying new equipment at $15,000+ is out of our reach budget-wise.
Coach Brown would also love to have help locating some used - but still usable - equipment. If you have contacts at Duke, UNC, NC Central, or anywhere else that may have extra High Jump or Pole Vault pads gathering dust somewhere, please let Coach Brown know - firstname.lastname@example.org.
The following required forms must be completed and submitted to the school prior to participation in any preseason workouts or team tryouts. A new set of forms must be completed each year. The summer is a great time to get things like sports physicals taken care of.
The RHS Booster Club needs you. We are an all volunteer organization of parents, teachers, coaches, students, alumni, and members of the community dedicated to supporting Riverside student athletes.
Due to parents of seniors rotating off the board, the following positions on the booster club board are vacant:
Spirit Wear Coordinator
Special Events Coordinator
Please contact Todd Patton (919-685-6175) if you are interested in serving in any of these positions. The board makes decisions on what projects to support and what fundraising happens.
- We need your help identifying team and facility needs. The booster club loves to help teams out. Whether you see a need that is big or small, please let us know.
- We need your help with fundraising for our teams. We have established a sponsorship program in an effort to raise money from area businesses. We would like for this program to take the place of students and their parents selling things, but the sponsorships won't sell themselves. Do you own a business or know someone who does? We will gladly customize a sponsor program to suit your needs. Details on the sponsor program may be found here.
- We need your help keeping this new website current. We welcome new content - pictures, stories, game scores & stats, and any ideas you have to make the website better. Your content, comments, and ideas may be submitted to Patty McAdams, Todd Patton, or to email@example.com. We can also give you team access to make updates yourself.
- We need your help selling those great "Got Purple" shirts and Booster Club memberships. Contact Brenda Williams to help with spirit wear and Karen Van Horn to help with memberships.
