Welcome to Riverside High School Athletics, Home of the Pirates! The following imformation will help you better understand how to participate in athletics at Riverside High School.

Please read the information contained in the following links regarding Athletic Eligibility as set forth by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) and Durham Public Schools (DPS).

This includes:

  • 85% Attendance Requirement
  • 3 Passing Grades Each Semester
  • Residency Requirement
  • Annual Physical

NCAA Clearinghouse

Every player who wants to be recruited for college athletics must first be registered with the Eligibility Clearinghouse.

NCAA Division I Initial Eligibility Academic Requirements

The following forms are required. All parts must be completed, signed and dated by both the student-athlete and a parent/guardian. These forms should be returned to  (Athletic Director) or  (Trainer) in the main office anytime or to your coach. This MUST be done prior to the student-athlete's participation in summer/ pre-season workouts or try-outs.

NCHSAA Physical Form - This form is only good for 365 days. A new form must be submitted every year.
