Men's Basketball, Football, and WLAX Clean Up School Grounds
In an effort to create better playing and practice environments, these three teams spent practice time on Monday, May 8 voluntarily cleaning up around the Riverside High School Athletic Facilities.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the women's lacrosse team's senior night was in jeopardy of not happening. The men's and women's lacrosse team then decided to play the first annual "Switch Stick" game to celebrate the girls season. The two teams were co-ed and the men had to use the women's stick and vice versa. Over 150 people were in attendance. The event was so successful, both teams have discussed making it an annual event and potentially turning it into a charity fundraiser.
Women's Soccer Lost to Northern 1-0 on Wednesday.
Soccer plays next on Thursday at Southern.
Softball lost to Chapel Hill 10-0 on Tuesday.

Baseball had a few huge innings that pushed them to the "mercy" rule beating Jordan Matthews by 10 runs in 5 innings. The Pirates head to Hillsborough on Wednesday to face Orange HS at 5:00
Women's Varsity Soccer Falls to Carrboro 5-0
An injury stricken varsity team, lost a lopsided first game to Carrboro on the road. The girls hope to regroup in their home opener against Northwood on Tuesday 2/28 at 4:45 and 6:30.
Men's Tennis Wins All Matches in Home Opener
The men beat Northern 9-0 on Monday 2/27 winning all singles and doubles matches. Tennis next plays at Cardinal Gibbons on Wednesday at 4:30pm.
Senior Jaden Davis Wins 195lb State Tournament
On Saturday, Jaden Davis won the 195lb 4A State Championship. With a 6-2 decision over Michael Johnson, Jaden capped off 4 years of hard work and a stellar senior season with the biggest win of his career.
